The Engineering Business Limited (EB) has established a Naval Defence division to add to its growing business portfolio. This new division is led by Neville Yard who joined the company in late 2006, having previously been with Rolls-Royce Naval Marine in Bristol.
Neville Yard's background includes over twenty years of working in defence during which time he has been involved in the design, build and operation of a wide range of naval platforms including submarines and surface warships. In recent years he has specialised in submarine rescue systems and for the last four years held the position of architect and Lead Engineer for the NATO Submarine Rescue System of which EB was a key supplier, designing and building the Portable Launch and Recovery System (PLARS).
"I am exceptionally pleased to be given the opportunity to work for this incredibly dynamic and progressive organization," said Neville Yard. "Along with their offshore oil and gas, renewable energy and consultancy services EB has a lot to offer various sectors of the marine defence market particularly in the areas of advanced handling systems, personnel access and wave calming devices for amphibious operations. EB is gifted with a wide range of talented design and manufacturing skills to support these initiatives and we all look forward to making this new division a success."
